January 2023 marks a milestone in the history of Globe Sauter: our first artistic collaboration. And not with just anyone. With Julien Gaquère, alias Jigé, a visual artist based in Roubaix, whose explosive graphic universe leaves no one indifferent. Three words suffice to describe his style: colourful, saturated and teeming. A living, teeming aesthetic, where every centimetre is inhabited. We’ve fallen under his spell. And what about you?
The result of this encounter between exceptional craftsmanship and a singular artistic vision is a completely revamped globe. A world object transformed into a work of art, filled with colourful creatures. The spherical support becomes a canvas, a landscape, a territory to be invented.
This collaboration brought a breath of fresh air to the studio. It gave us the thrill of first-time experiences: the excitement, the wonder, the desire to go even further. And above all, the conviction that other artists will in turn come and create their own world. For real.
